CANNOCK AND BURNTWOOD BUSINESSES BENEFIT FROM EUROPEAN FUNDING

Companies located on business parks in Cannock, Burntwood and Rugeley have been told they could be eligible for grants of up to £7,500 to fund improvements to their premises.

British Business Parks has successfully bid for European Regional Development Funding that will help companies part-fund image and security upgrades.

Parks eligible include the Martindale, Hawks Green, Chaseside Business Park, East Cannock, Progress Drive, Bridgtown, Norton Canes, Redbrook Lane and The Levels, Brereton, Power Station Road, Rugeley and the Burntwood Business Parks.

The Southern Staffordshire Business Park Initiative funded from Europe will help improve the image of premises and sites and help to secure companies against crime.

Companies are able to get a third of the cost of any improvement works and applying for the money is a simple process with help available from BBP staff.

To qualify for the grant aid companies must be situated in the eligible areas, the work must result in significant improvements to the quality of land or premises, applicants have to have at least five years freehold interest or leasehold interest remaining on their premises, and the work would not take place without the grant aid being available
