Breathing new life into the Canal Network
In 2003, British Business Parks worked with British
Waterways on a prestigious project that examined the
feasibility of transporting cardboard and paper waste
from industrial sites along the canal to a recycling
plant in Birmingham.
The effects of removing traffic from the already congested
roads and the waste management effects for local businesses
of this project will have a positive environmental impact
on the West Midlands and, should the scheme be successful,
the project will be rolled out nationally.
