REGENERATION ORGANISATION URGES PEOPLE TO MAKE CHRISTMAS WISHES COME TRUE

British Business Parks
PRESS RELEASE

Leading Midlands regeneration organisation British Business Parks is helping children in Cannock to enjoy a happier Christmas.

The organisation, which helps to revive the flagging fortunes of industrial sites throughout the West Midlands and Staffordshire, is once again running its annual Christmas Tree Appeal in aid of local children’s charities and organisations.

Every year the generosity of Midlands people enables the tree appeal to buy presents for more than 1,000 children who might otherwise not have as happy a Christmas as luckier youngsters. Some are in homes while others may live in refuges.

The appeal works by having people choose a tag from the tree and then buying a present for the child named.

The appeal has run successfully in Walsall for a number of years and was extended to Cannock last year where it also proved popular.

BBP project manager Vanessa Emery said: “Christmas is a time when we should think of others worse off than ourselves.

“People in Cannock have given fantastic support to the Christmas Tree Appeal and hopefully they will do so again this year and make a child’s Christmas.”

If you would like to contribute, the Christmas tree will be located in Cannock Shopping Centre on Saturday November 27, December 4 and 11 between 9am-3pm.

People can return gifts to the tree on any of the above dates or bring them to: Ridings House, Ridings Park, Eastern Way, Hawks Green, Cannock, no later than 5pm on Monday December 13.

For further information, please contact Vanessa Emery or Morag Pringle on 01543 460050.
