Staffordshire
regeneration organisation British Business Parks is preparing
to host a major trade fair showcasing
businesses in the county.
The Staffs In-Business Show will feature companies from
the industrial estates managed by the body.
More than 50 companies are exhibiting at the trade fair
and the event has attracted an impressive range of sponsors
from both the public and private sectors.
These include London and Cambridge Properties, UK Trade
and Investment, Lichfield District Council, the Staffordshire
Business Environment Network, Lantra, and the Southern Staffordshire
Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
All are major stakeholders in the area and want to see the
economy flourish. The event will therefore showcase the best
the area has to offer and will be an opportunity for companies
to promote themselves to a much wider audience than normal.
Lichfield MP Michael Fabricant has already lent his support
to the endeavour and has agreed to formally open the exhibition.
The exhibition takes place at the Burntwood Leisure Centre,
High Street, Chasetown on Thursday October 14.
The show will also include a series of seminars throughout
the day on issues such as health and safety and crime reduction.
There will be a vast array of businesses covering a wide
spectrum of industries from manufacturing through to the
service sector.
Jess
Fowler, show organiser and development co-ordinator said: "This
is a
great opportunity for firms to showcase what they can do.
"The
Staffs in-Business Show will allow companies to source
new customers,
suppliers and products.
BBP is currently responsible for parks in Cannock, Rugeley,
Burntwood, Walsall, Wolverhampton and north Worcestershire.
The organisation's aim is to make business parks more attractive
propositions for industry by tackling problems such as crime
and subsequently encouraging firms to invest money on improvements.
It also urges companies based in a given area to work together
to create a better business environment while helping them
take advantage of a range of products and services.
The exhibition
therefore fits very firmly into the organisation’s
ethos and it is encouraging anyone with an interest in the
economy of Staffordshire and the West Midlands to visit.
Vanessa
Emery, Project manager of BBP said: “Anyone
looking to develop their business should not pass up this
opportunity.
“We
believe it is the ideal way for companies to network and
promote themselves not just to
each other, but to the
region as a whole.”
